Know something we don't?
Like a little architectural oasis in the middle of rows of generic office and warehouse buildings downtown, the Mayan Theater serves as both a dance club and occasional concert hall. With beautiful, intricately sculpted walls and a top-notch sound system, this place can really set an intense and dramatic mood for the variety of events that happen here.
Most nights feature a Latin nightclub, and this is THE place to be if you're serious about dancing. Friday and Saturday nights from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. cut the rug on three dance floors. Dance to salsa & meringue, house, disco and '70s spun by local deejays or live acts playing Latin music. But make sure to wear your finest threads. The dress code--no jeans or corduroys--is strictly enforced. Ladies, dress to impress in your highest spike heels.
