Where the Lakers play off-court

Right about now, the Lakers certainly have a lot more to think about than where they're going clubbing this week. But when they're off the court, they are known to get around town, and chances are you've seen them holding a different kind of court at one of L.A.'s hottest clubs. After all, why play in L.A. if you can't play in L.A.? We're all looking forward to some well-earned celebration, so let's just get this three-game home stand off on the good foot, win some games, and get on top of this thing. Between now and then, check out this list of where the Lakers party.

1. Republic   West Hollywood

Sasha Vujacic and Vladimir Radmanovic have been known to hit up Russian-themed restaurant/bar Republic, which is conveniently located near hotspots STK and Koi.

Republic
2. LAX   Hollywood

Ronny Turiaf and Coby Karl hosted a party here last month, where hip-hop artist/producer Spontaneous performed. LAX is the nightlife venture created by owner Loyal Pennings and celebrity favorite DJ Adam “AM” Goldstein.

3. Crown Bar   West Hollywood

Formerly the Tempest Bar, this latest offering from the same team behind the still-hot Winston's has lured in its fair share of celebs since it bowed in May, including Lakers Pau Gasol and Sasha Vujacic last month.

4. Villa   West Hollywood

Just being a Laker doesn't open all nightlife doors in L.A., as Ronny Turiaf found out earlier this year when he was famously (in the TMZ universe, anyway) denied at the door here.

Villa
5. Les Deux   Hollywood

Derek Fisher has hit up Les Deux in years past. Although the club is not as hot as it was in, say, 2006, you still might catch a Laker here on a special one-off party later this summer.

6. S Bar - closed   Hollywood

Many a Laker have made it to S Bar and especially SBE's adjacent restaurant, Katsuya (nearly the entire team was here after the Lakers won the conference finals). Then again, who hasn't been to Katsuya lately? From Tony Romo to Jay-Z, this is where sports VIPs and rap stars alike dine these days.

S Bar - closed
7. Ritual   Hollywood

Lamar Odom has been known to frequent Ritual. This club has been satiating the Hollywood set's velvet-rope fetish since 2007. (And about that rope? It's mostly for show...if you wear something slinky here, chances are you'll get in. And isn't that true just about anywhere?)

Ritual
8. Here Lounge   West Hollywood

Believe it or not, one blog reported recently that Kwame Brown was seen at this gay and lesbian bar in West Hollywood. Of course, he was there on a night where it was packed with women, per the report.

Here Lounge
9. Shellback Tavern   Manhattan Beach

Exactly what you'd expect for the flip-flops-and-beer crowd. Except you'll occasionally see a Laker or two here if you are lucky.

Shellback Tavern
10. Teddy's   Hollywood

Dark and cavernous, it’s no wonder Teddy’s has become one of Hollywood’s celebrity nighttime clubhouses. Sports stars like good music (and models), too.
