Jack White and his boys are getting to be like those friends who call you up at 4 p.m. and say, “Hey, we’re coming over for dinner.” Give us a little warning, eh? Hot on the heels of the sudden release of their second album, “Consolers of the Lonely,” the band is playing a short-notice show this Sunday at the Music Box @ Fonda. Tickets go on sale Friday at noon PDT at this link. Imaad Wasif with Two Part Beast open the show.

Actually, I think this short warning is good. Just like they were attempting to stop illegal sharing with their new album, they’re trying to prevent scalpers from getting their hands on the tix for this show. It looks like. You can only get tix by will-call and from there, straight to the venue. No leaving “will-call pickups”. I admire that — trying to keep it all for the fans.
