Eddie VedderFor all you Vedder heads out there who missed the first show in his first ever solo tour last night* in Vancouver (uh, Vancouver? That isn’t Seattle, Eddie), you can read Ann Powers’ review here and peruse the set list below. Not quite the first-ever solo show: Eddie played at All Tomorrows Parties, right here in LA, a few years ago (when Sonic Youth curated.) If memory served, he played mostly ukelele and was accompanied by a young surfer he’d met earlier in the week.

Are you guys gonna keep publishing setlists? That’s great, but I think what this column needs is some guitar tabs.

Ed also played a solo show at the RIAA show back in 2001 and the 2004 Tsunami benefit with Tenacious D back in 2005. Though neither of these shows were “solo” tours :)

Pure beauty! Thanks for the article. I’m headed to LA in 8 days for Ed’s show at the Wiltern. Cannot wait - he is a musical genius.
