Know something we don't?
Traditionally writers are a rather down-at-the-heels subset of Hollywood denizen, but this hot Beverly Hills watering hole presents a different front. Rumored to be a favorite spot for tinsel town wheeling and dealing, where careers and bank accounts are made or broken, this classy hotel lounge is nothing if not well-heeled. The décor has the air of a summer getaway 365 days a year, with soothing beige walls and carpet, light brown chairs and tables and low-key mellow yellow lighting that casts everybody in the best glow possible, as if a very important scene were about to be shot there. There’s a fireplace and the walls are decorated with framed scripts from famous blockbusters such as “Jaws,” “The Godfather” and “Good Will Hunting.” Forty wines and champagnes are available by the bottle or by the glass and a variety of signature cocktails – including the tempting Billionaire Margarita – are available for suitably marked-up Beverly Hills prices. Upscale bar food such as caviar, flat bread, gourmet personal-size pizzas and sushi are available for those with an appetite.
