Once the rugged, live music-oriented annex to the Brit-themed Bestie’s, the Cruz Room is now the shadowy, DJ-oriented annex to the departed pub’s still-British successor, Underground. Connected to the low-key limey fun next door through a narrow hallway, the Cruz Room is a separate entity with a $5 cover charge, $11- $12 cocktails, an upscale menu—calamari is $9, the “extreme” salad is $10, a 10-ounce filet is $24—and an expansive wine list with bottles ranging from $34 to $300. At such price points, the only thing the Cruz Room still shares with Underground is the toilet.
