First time bar owner Adam Milstein (and his three partners) are bringing a little bit of southern hospitality to Southern California. The former Georgia resident has turned 3001 Wilshire Blvd. into a virtual temple of all thing "south." That means pictures of Elvis on the walls, mint juleps & Southern comfort and even a tasty bar menu offering up true down home eats such as fried green tomatoes. Of course, you can expect Lynard Skynard on the sound system here as well. South opened in early April of 2008. Essentially, South is a neighborhood southern bar, with a sports element thrown in the mix for good measure.
Heads-up: A friend of mine got "rufied" while at this bar last Friday night. It should have been a sign when the parking attendant said, "be careful tonight" before we went in. And besides that bad experience, the drinks were watered-down and the food was sub-par. Not a girl friendly...
I like South. It is good. It makes me happy. My dog's name is Wilbur. My favorite hobby is cleaning my room. I once found a really big rock but dad wouldn't let me take it home.
