Not to be confused with Cedd Moses' Seven Grand around the corner from Seven Restaurant and Bar, downtown's Seven aims to bring upscale drinking and dining to a formerly rough-and-tumble part of downtown. Loft-dwelling financial types now have their very own place to drink "saketinins" and snack on raw oysters from Seven's raw bar.
While we don't see how the veal chops here are worth a mind-boggling $38, we are impressed with the varied wine selection at this sleek destination. A DJ booth here in the lounge area hints at future wild nights.
Make sure to check out the bathrooms here, which have changing light projections on the front of both the men's, and women's restrooms. Seven is only open until midnight or so for now on weeknights, but will stay open until 2 a.m. this fall on weekends now that they have their full liquor license.
