This longtime haunt for gender-bending locals got a makeover courtesy of the popular Seattle joint and has since become the TGI Friday’s of Silver Lake watering holes: a chain that’s fun for big groups irresistibly drawn to the lure of the well-managed “we’re so a dive” ambience. This vague confusion requires lots of flair on behalf of the staff, who respond with generously-cleavaged cowgirl portraits on the walls and rugby shirts meant for ten-year-old boys on 22-year-old girls. That said, the beer’s cheap and your odds of making out with someone in the photo booth are about 50/50.
