Recently refurbished under new ownership, neighborhood joint the Vine Bar got shinier yet still maintains its rock ‘n’ roll sensibility. Once a simple, if not dingy, local bar, the black walls are now accented with Gothic chandeliers and arty portraits of rock gods and goddesses. A fancy jukebox holds court at the back of the room, which also features low leather seats and tables. Further back is a narrow staircase that leads up to the loft area, where additional seating welcomes close conversation. While these new glossier digs will surely entice similarly glossy patrons, its regular hipster/punk crowd will always be welcome.
