During its 1990s locker-laden Rampart cop bar incarnation, this ironic hipster haunt was a burial ground for ethnic diversity. Not so today. Gone are the days when you got called “Whoopi” for being a black lady with a feisty sense of humor. Today, small-time TV personalities rub shoulders with Angelenos from all corners of the city’s map and a good game of competitive Golden Tee is mere quarters and a sultry wink away. On days when the Dodgers play, look out for $1 Pabst drafts and free pool, and on weekend nights, a good DJ packs the dance floor. But only a good one.
