In a fashionable and kitschy Los Feliz neighborhood, The Roost is a dive bar with charm. No, you won't find broken beer bottles and missing teeth on the floor, but you probably won't spot the likes of Madonna, either. You will find plenty of tables, booths and free popcorn, not to mention drinks that are cheap and over-poured. The jukebox spins an eclectic mix--everything from Aerosmith to Patsy Cline, which complements the atmoshpere of red leather booths and yellowish lighting reflected off of shellacked tables.

While the regular clientele is laid-back and unassuming, weekend nights can be crowded with spillover from The Bigfoot Lodge, a hipster bar just down the street.
