European expats flock to The Fox and Hounds for British pub grub like fish and chips and shepherd’s pie while watching football (not the American kind) on the telly. American locals get their fix, too, with traditional bar fare like burgers and buffalo wings and plenty of offerings from the NFL, NHL, and NBA. Luckily all present can agree on the pints. Beyond sports, the bar hosts live music tending toward classic rock and folk Tuesday through Saturday. But the event that packs ‘em in most is the Pub Quiz Trivia Night on Mondays and Wednesdays, when Yanks test their wits against patrons from across the pond. The décor may be spartan, with a wood-paneled bar and pub tables that have seen a lot of use, but the spirit of the clientele fills the space with rowdy warmth.
