The antithesis of Hollywood bars, this neighborhood pub is equally popular with post-college scenesters and middle aged barflies who have to be peeled off their stools. There's karaoke every night except Thursday, Tuesday night is free pool night (9 p.m. - 1 a.m.) and they offer a lunch buffet with cold cuts, pasta and salads. The Tattle Tale is also one of the few bars where you can nurse a 32 oz. bottle of Busch. Plus, it boasts one of the best vintage signs of any bar in the city and the world's greatest bar T-shirt, which proclaims: "Tattle Tale: A disgusting place to meet." You get a discount on drinks if you wear yours.

Tecate tall boys. Karaoke is free and now more often than just Fri + Sat. So hard to choose between this joint and the Scarlet...
