About
With two locations in the Inland Empire, the Royal Falconer provides hearty pub fare and pints in every shade of beer for Anglophiles and expats. The bar has over 20 beers on tap and none of them are brewed in Golden, Colorado. That’s right—you’ll be able to get all the Boddington’s, Hobgoblin, and Woodforde’s Wherry on tap that your liver desires. You’ll also be able to get your Newcastle and Guinness, too, so go ahead and order up those black and tans and snakebites. The heavy duty menu of bangers and mash, fish and chips and shepherd’s pie are the perfect time-tested complements that’ll keep you watching the footie all night – or all morning, as the case may be. The place has a dark and woodsy feel bejeweled with different coats of arms, a place where Manchester United and Arsenal logos take the place of Raiders, Dodgers, and Angels paraphernalia. Despite all the soccer references, though, it’s not really a sports bar, so hooliganism has to go somewhere else. The Royal Falconer has a family restaurant vibe, with high chairs (and the children that sit in them) at most of the tables during weekend daylight hours. You will also find antique shoppers stopping in from the bargain hunting on State Street. The evenings get packed so practice balancing pints brimming with beer. Don’t worry if you spill a little though, you won’t run into Begbie from Trainspotting here.
