Enter through the restaurant to find the Standard's "secret" bar, the Purple Lounge.  Sure, the bar has seen better days (it once was very difficult to gain entry into this space), but it's still worth seeing.  Plush seating options abound here; with lots of dark corners to impress your date with.  There are even swings inside, for those who are feeling extra frisky.  DJs (usually playing downtempo hip-hop or house) round out the experience here nightly.  Who needs Britney or Paris when you have a space this chilled out?
