Though smack in the middle of Hollywood, Power House is anything but trendy. It’s a dive in every sense of the word—a jukebox, dart board and regulars sporting Mohawks and ripped jeans fill up most of the hole-in-the-wall space. Bar brawls are not uncommon here, but that is part of its charm. It’s a place where the bartenders growl and the beers are cheap, refreshing qualities lacking in its overhyped, elaborately conceived neighbors.
