Do Les Deux for its fill of eye candy, celebrity clientele and for a possible cameo on MTV’s “The Hills.” Once upon a time in the 1990s, Les Deux (or Les Deux Café as it was known then) was a touch of Paris in L.A. Former owner Michelle Lamy filled its outside patio with artists, designers (including boyfriend Rick Owens) and celebrity friends like Madonna, Catherine Denueve and Gwyneth Paltrow. After Lamy decamped to the French capital with her beau in 2004, the place was bought by the Dolce Group and re-imagined as a hotspot similar to their other properties. Celebrities still frequent the place, but expect more of the US Weekly variety than The Paris Review. The patio still remains a great spot for people-watching, but if you can gain access, head upstairs and get a bird’s eye view from the second floor balconies. While dancing is encouraged pretty much anywhere there’s room, the back area provides the actual floor to do it on.
