If you like your sidecar with a side of jumbo jet, then Avi Brosh's Hopscotch Bar at the Custom Hotel near LAX is for you. Marina del Rey, Playa Vista and Westchester locals mix it up with young business travelers at this up-and-comer nightly, and sometimes during the day (at their "sundaze" pool parties, mostly).

Thanks to good looking crowds and the occasional big name DJ dropping by, this new-ish lounge at the Custom is already shaking up the sleepy airport hotel bar scene.  While the partially enclosed bar itself is small, DJs playing house music for patrons lounging by the pool help give Hopscotch the edge over nearby rivals.

While at the Custom, make sure to check out the Bistrotek restaurant inside the main building, and look for a new rooftop bar at the Custom in 2009.
