Barnacles Bar & Grill

A little off the beaten path of Pier Ave, and infinitely more relaxed than many other area venues, Barnacles is a sporty spot with a full bar and a menu about as brief as In-N-Out’s. Burgers and sandwiches are $7.50 to $8.50. Chicken wings are $3.75 for 6, $7 for 12, and $13.25 for 24. Salads and finger foods—nachos, fries, onion rings—fill out the remainder of the menu, so if you want something else, you’ll have to drink it. That doesn’t seem to be a problem for the casually dressed, mostly local clientele who ride up to Barnacles on their beach cruisers to luxuriate inside or on the sun-drenched patio with cheap pitchers of beer.
