Hitting up India Sweets and Spices can be a foreboding experience. Only the most ardent fans of Indian cuisine will be able to identify many of the rotating variety of vegetarian specials, and as a result you're sometimes not entirely sure what you've ordered until you make your selections from the buffet-like spread at the other side of the counter. But whatever you choose, it's a safe bet it will be authentic Indian fare at a fraction of the cost of a sit-down restaurant. The portions are huge so choose wisely, whether you opt for the 3.99 combo platter, a samosa or one of the long, crepe-like wraps. Though the restaurant does a brisk carry-out business, the Bollywood entertainment on the restaurant's big screen has a hypnotic, tractor-beam effect, and the food is all the better for it.
