About
In 1970, Tobey Moss started out as a volunteer docent at LACMA. Her sole aim was to satisfy a cultural curiosity. Talk about success: three years later she was working at an important gallery, and five years after that, opened her own!
For the last 20+ years, Moss has been a staple of the ever-changing Beverly-La Brea gallery axis. Her original focus was on prints and works on paper. While she still stocks Honoré Daumier and his ilk, Moss is better known as an advocate of California artists who worked in the 1920s, '30s, '40s, '50s and early '60s. Don't forget to check out "The Treasure Chest" -- a box full of works on paper that are all priced under $200.
