This solo exhibition features the artist's soft-sculptural, mixed-media sewn works created from artificial, recycled, and common materials. Used coffee filters, discarded consumer packaging, fabric scraps, and bits of cardboard are torn, ripped, cut, collaged and then machine sewn together in ways that echo forms in natural objects. The sewing machine acts as a drawing and binding instrument and the seams, edges and threads are left exposed and rough.
