About

First, two style points: 1) Richard Telles has the best thick black eyeglass frames we've ever seen, and 2) His contemporary art gallery has the tallest, most awe-inspiring set of hanging pocket-style doors we've ever seen.

The young gallery is painted in white with a single black decal in the front window; it also has 16-foot-high ceilings, two roof-cut skylights and a slab concrete floor with lines visible from a previous tiled incarnation. The art here is cutting-edge contemporary; styles include sculpture, photography and installations with seemingly little commercial appeal. That said, after two days, 40 percent of the works in a Tony Feher show of bottles, balls and pink stacked insulation had already sold.
