About
In the early 1970s, in Mexico City, Luis Remba and his wife Lea developed a fine art printing method that incorporated certain sculptural elements. The process involved handmade paper pressed with a copper printing plate. The result was a textured print with an added third dimension. Thus, a new tool for the artist was born, a medium they christened "Mixografia."
Today, the Rembas have opened their talents, resources and invention to the art world, and an A-list of contemporary artists have responded. The gallery features the Mixografia work of John Baldessari, Ed Ruscha, Jonathan Borofsky, Robert Graham, Helen Frankenthaler and many more exceptional artists.
Ask Luis and Lea to tell you the details of the origins of their Mixografia; it really is a beautiful story from a pair of true art lovers.
