About
The museum is located in the heart of trendy West Hollywood. Past exhibitions have focused on contemporary architecture and design, but the venue also presents new work by emerging and established artists, as well as programs based upon MOCA's major exhibitions and permanent collection.
Popular shows in past years include "MOCA Focus: Florian Maier-Aichen," "MOCA's Mark Rothkos" and "Bill Owens: Suburbia."
Visiting
Admission to MOCA Pacific Design Center is always free.
However, visitors must pay for on-site parking, which is located on San Vicente Boulevard, just north of Melrose Avenue.
The first 20 minutes are free, with $1 each 20 minutes thereafter. $11 maximum weekdays. $6 flat rate after 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, until 6 p.m. on Saturday, and all day Sunday. $8 flat rate after 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Metered street parking is also available.
Dining and entertainment
Visitors can dine at WP -- Wolfgang Puck, located on the 3rd floor of the Blue Building. The restaurant offers luncheon menus as well as catering for special events.
The Design Cafe is a coffee house that offers a modest array of sandwiches and other lunch items.
For something more upscale, check out Nishimura, which serves exquisite sushi in a stylish, contemporary setting.
