About
This art center is a hub of activity that offers three ways to inspire and stimulate children's artistic talents. There are ongoing classes for youngsters ages 6-17 ranging from filmmaking and animation to drawing and pottery.
"Sunday Open Sunday" takes place 35 Sundays a year at various art sites and locations throughout the L.A. area. The free, two-hour workshops offer instruction in a variety of art media -- collage, painting, jewelry, maskmaking and more.
A small children's gallery features rotating exhibits such as artwork produced by kids or illustrators of children's books. Barnsdall Art Park also is the site of the famed Hollyhock House designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.
