It's a temp, temp, temp world. If your workplace isn't proof enough of that truism, then check this out: an art gallery that rents out space by the week, in two-week minimums.

Jerry Solomon Enterprises owns this space, as well as the frame shop and mirror store right next door. Solomon is also the landlord of the Cantor Barry Gallery and the Dinah Art Gallery. The 960 space is marked by an unassuming awning. Individual renters bring their own more lively flags or banners. The same applies inside, where a spartan, white-walled, well-worn, camel-colored carpeted space can be supplemented by anything the renters bring.

Galleries that have rented out the space for L.A. shows include Sydne Bernard, Forum, and the now-shuttered Horowitz/Newman out of Scottsdale, Arizona. Individual artists can also put up the $2,000 for two weeks, or $3,500 for a full month, and show their work directly. -- Jeremy Rosenberg
