This Montana Avenue mecca has lithographs by H.A. Rey (Curious George), Garth Williams (Charlotte's Web), Clement Hurd (Goodnight Moon) and Maurice Sendak. They've got photos by Edward Valfre (Vacationers from Outer Space), serigraphs of images by Dr. Seuss and even work by Gonzo Thompson's sidekick, Ralph Steadman. It's awe-inspiring.

Readings, signings and books are for sale, too. Forget the kids, come here yourself.

Tips: The special events held at this venerable store are always a treat. Past exhibits have included a Simpson's retrospective and a special exhibit of the drawings of venerable special effects master Ray Harryhausen.
