DF2 Gallery

You'll find cutting-edge artists -- many of them from China -- at this hip and trendy West Hollywood / Fairfax District gallery. The adjectives that come to mind here are adventurous and futuristic as you experience the eclectic tastes of the gallery's founders David DeSanctis and Fabien Fryns. Notable past exhibitions include "Xu Hualing: Eternal Beauty," "Yin Zhaoyang: Passing by Mao," "Cui Xiuwen: Angel" and "Mathieu Briand: Ubiq."

Visiting

The gallery is located at 314 N. Crescent Heights Blvd., at the corner of Beverly Blvd. Gallery hours are Tuesdays through Fridays, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturdays 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Street parking is available in the surrounding neighborhood.

Dining and entertainment

There are plenty of dining options in the neighborhood, many of which are within convenient walking distance of the gallery. Pastis is a trendy, upscale restaurant serving French and other European food in a chic setting. Mimosa offers a laid-back fine-dining experience with critically acclaimed food courtesy of chef Jean-Francois Meteigner. For something simpler, there's Sushi Time, a reliable chain restaurant that serves sushi and other Japanese cuisine.
