David Gallery

This Culver City gallery specializes in contemporary and classic photography. Formerly known as Apex Fine Art, the gallery currently exhibits architectural and large-format photographs in addition to American photojournalism. Notable past shows include "Margaret Bourke-White: Vintage," "Alfred Eisenstaedt," "The Chairman and his Board: Photographs of Frank Sinatra" and "Male Form in the Twentieth Century."

Visiting

The gallery is located at 5797 Washington Blvd., near David Ave., in Culver City. Hours of operation are Tuesdays through Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Public parking is available at the lots on Ince Blvd., Watseka Ave. and Cardiff Ave. Limited street parking is available in the surrounding neighborhood.

There are plenty of dining options located in the downtown Culver City Arts District. La Dijonaise is a classy but affordable French restaurant located in the Helms Bakery Building, on the corner of Washington Blvd. and Helms Ave. In the same building, you'll find Beacon, a trendy pan-Asian restaurant that serves noodles, steaks, sushi and vegetarian cuisine. Brunello Trattoria, located at the corner of Washington Blvd. and La Cienega, is a popular destination for pasta, pizza and other Italian-American cuisine.
