Construct

Every kid loves building stuff, whether it’s with blocks, Lincoln logs, Jenga planks or ice cream scoops. Boone Children’s Gallery takes things to the next level, allowing young architects to blossom, with Construct, an exhibit geared around letting children and their families play, build, explore, collaborate, problem-solve and experience the art of construction. Visitors get a chance to work at drafting tables to draw floor plans, build a model using a variety of materials, and display their buildings and designs in the Construct gallery. Kids can also work in creative teams to build cities and structures using wood blocks, drawing inspiration from plans, drawings and models drafted by architect Renzo Piano, designer of LACMA’s Transformation Project.
