ARK Gallery

Kids come to make and exhibit art here, but like ARK president Ty Estes so vehemently says,"This ain't no cookie-cutter art where they trace their fingers and make a turkey."

Nope, no game birds here, just a recently renovated space that's part of the heart and soul of Long Beach's eclectic 4th Street arts and shopping district. Kids come in to paint, make murals, and learn silkscreen and figure-drawing techniques. They also put on plays and give performances, in the process putting their free time to creative use.

The gallery is offered to artists and student artists in exchange for their time as volunteers. It's a win/win proposition.
