The theme of the 34th annual parade is "Santa's Sealife Celebration." Harbor Hospitality Night is Dec. 5 (3:30 - 7 p.m.). Boat Rides with Santa will take place on Dec. 6 & 7 (10 a.m. - 2 p.m.) The parade itself occurs at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 5, 6, 12, & 13.
This 23rd annual event will feature about 35 boats dressed up for the holidays; fireworks follow. Cheer on your favorite boats as they prepare for the parade beginning at 5:30 p.m. Best viewing locations include Stearns Wharf and the Breakwater in the Harbor. Dress warmly. (3 - 7 p.m., Dec. 7)
"Holiday for Heroes" is the theme of the 17th annual King Harbor Yacht Club Christmas Boat Parade, an illuminated trip through the main channel of King Harbor in Redondo Beach. (5:30 p.m., Dec. 13)
A favorite Christmastime event since 1963, the annual Marina del Rey Boat Parade kicks off with a fireworks display, launched from the jetty near the entrance to the main channel. A two-hour parade follows in which festively bedecked boats circle the channel for an admiring audience of spectators. Each boat does three laps to show off the decorations, music, dancing, and other performances on board. (6 - 8 p.m., Dec. 13)
Come one, come all to the 62nd annual Naples Holiday Boat Parade in Long Beach. This year's theme, appropriately enough, is "The Naples Spirit -- Joy of Giving." Festivities include a little boat parade and a big boat parade. The small boats start things off, travelling counter-clockwise around the islands and then entering the interior of the bay followed by the large boats. Both fleets travel the main body of Alamitos Bay in a clockwise circle before returning to the Long Beach Yacht Club. (8 p.m., Dec. 13)
The 26th annual Long Beach boat parade. Viewing locations include: restaurants and boardwalk at Shoreline Village, Shoreline Park by the Lighthouse, the marina breakwall behind Shoreline Village. (7 p.m., Dec. 13)
Brilliantly decorated and illuminated small boats, canoes and kayaks light up the Venice Canals at this annual holiday tradition that begins canals along Dell Ave. (4 - 8 p.m., Dec. 14)
The 100th annual event; this year's theme is "100 Years of Christmas Cheers." (Dec. 17 - 21)
